Please continue to check back for an update as we introduce these exciting and talented musicians.
Asha B is well known in the reggae music community. A dynamic and multi-talented individual, a frontman and performer. Among the many feathers in his cap, he is a singer-songwriter, producer and a good leader, we call him, "di captain". Asha's music experience spans many years working, travelling and performing with top reggae artists. As the leader of the Big Ship crew, he does not settle for mediocracy. His vision for the band is a common vision we share that fuels the band.
Ebony(Queen B), bass player and co-founder of the Big Ship Alliance Reggae Band is a great asset to the big ship crew. She is a classy and talented bass player who played with several bands including the Beat on their tour. In addition to her musical commitments to the big ship crew, she films and produces the band's videos.
Joel is the rhythm and lead guitarist of the big ship crew. He is an enthusiastic individual that never stops smiling. "Jay Jay" or "General" are two of his nicknames. He is a former member of the Y2K reggae band who opened as a warm-up act for one of Jamaica's top reggae band, Third World at the Drum. His interest in playing the guitar started when he saw the first live reggae band Toots and the Maytals at the Locarno in Birmingham during the '70s. Joel develops and runs the band's website and media.
